Michael Carrick's testimonial is to take place at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon to celebrate the midfielder's 11 years at Manchester United.
United's 2008 Champions League-winning side are to play a Carrick All-Stars XI but the 35-year-old's former England team-mates Steven Gerrard, 37, and Frank Lampard, 38, have been forced to pull out of the match with muscle injuries.
Carrick took to Instagram to repost Lampard's initial upload and write his own message on the news of the two injuries.

Carrick said: 'Such a shame both @stevengerrard and @franklampard have picked up injuries over the last 2 days.
