Mark Noble is 'highly unlikely' to face retrospective action after he clashed with a fan on the pitch during West Ham's 3-0 home defeat to Burnley.
The London Stadium descended into chaos and anarchy when supporters breached the stewards and security to enter the field of play, directing verbal jibes at players in what soon became a toxic atmosphere.
Following the opening goal from Ashley Barnes, Hammers captain Noble was confronted by an angry supporter but referee Lee Mason witnessed the incident at the time and the issue is likely to be closed.
'People have got to realise we are footballers and we have got to protect ourselves,' Noble told Sky Sports after the game.
