Watford's 'signing' of French starlet Pape Gueye is proving something of an unwanted distraction to their efforts to remain a Premier League club.
The Hornets announced Gueye's arrival from Ligue 2 club Le Havre on a five-year deal back on June 30.
But just 24 hours later, the midfielder's agent stunned everyone by claiming Gueye could yet move elsewhere. Pierre-Henri Bovis said: 'Nothing is fixed. We have a "so-called" contract from January. The circumstances are very strange.'
This week, Gueye insisted he no longer wants to join Watford, claiming he was 'advised badly' by a former agent.
