'Give him Hammer of the Year': West Ham supporters praise 'superhuman' Tomas Soucek for suffering nasty head clash against Tottenham which left him bleeding heavily... but he still got up to try and block a Harry Kane shot

Tomas Soucek suffered a nasty head clash in the West Ham's London derby with Tottenham but the Czech midfielder still played on even though blood was gushing from his head.

With the Hammers defending a 1-0 lead over Spurs in the first-half, Soucek was left wounded after banging heads with Davinson Sanchez inside his own box but got back up to try and block a follow-up shot from Harry Kane.

Soucek was left needing considerable treatment from the Hammers physios and spent five minutes away from the pitch before coming back on to carry on the match.
