Frank Lampard has hailed Everton's signing of Amadou Onana and believes that his arrival can help transform the club's fortunes.
Everton beat West Ham to the 20-year-old from Lille and the £33million signing has excited Lampard, especially as he was determined to revamp the club's midfield this summer.
Onana has signed a five-year deal and he is expected to be joined soon by Idrissa Gueye, who is finalising his return to Merseyside from Paris Saint-Germain.
It is likely Onana will be in the squad to face Aston Villa on Saturday.
