Former Wolves skipper Mario Lemina completes move to Galatasaray after being stripped of the captaincy on the back of Jarrod Bowen clash

Former Wolves captain Mario Lemina has joined Galatasaray in a £2.08million deal.

The 31-year-old, who previously had a loan spell with the Turkish club, departs Molineux following two years after signing an 18-month contract in Istanbul with the option of an extra year.

After the 3-0 defeat by Newcastle last month, Vitor Pereira, the new Wolves boss, revealed that Lemina had been asked not to be considered for selection as he sought a move away.

He went into the season as captain of the Molineux club, was was stripped of his duties after a post-match brawl with West Ham skipper Jarrod Bowen in December.
