It was not the end to their pre-season campaign that David Moyes or West Ham would have hoped for.
In a week's time they will travel to the Vitality Stadium to take on Bournemouth in the first game of the new Premier League season.
But Moyes certainly has some thinking to do after the Irons were beaten 4-0 by Bayer Leverkusen today, notably conceding three goals inside the first 40 minutes of the match, in a poor performance away from home.
It comes as concerns are starting to mount over the the club's transfer policies.
