EXCLUSIVE: 'It means more to me than anything!' West Ham's 'Angel of Alkmaar' Knollsy is greeted by ecstatic fans as he arrives in Prague for the Europa Conference League final after fighting off Dutch thugs

West Ham's 'Angel of Alkmaar', known as Knollsy, arrived in Prague tonight and fought back tears as fans clamoured to thank him once again.

Chris Knoll, 58, became an international sensation last month after he fought off thugs who had intended to attack West Ham supporters, including the wives and girlfriends of the team at AK Alkmaar.

He arrived in Prague today to cheers after he was given tickets to tomorrow night's Europa conference league final against Italian side Fiorentina after MailOnline contacted West Ham United executives.

Speaking exclusively to MailOnline, the TV production worker from Hampton, Middlesex, revealed he had rejected the celebrity lifestyle of TV, interviews and magazines to go back to being 'an ordinary football supporter'.
