Andy Carroll believes West Ham have too much quality in their squad to be dragged into a relegation battle this season.

The Hammers currently sit in 15th place – four points above the bottom three – and secured their first league win in seven games when they beat Burnley 1-0 last weekend.

Back in 2003, the club famously dropped down to the Championship despite having a squad boasting the talents of Paolo Di Canio, Joe Cole, Jermain Defoe and Michael Carrick.
