David Moyes hopes to end a two-year search for a striker in the final week of the transfer window after their Champions League hopes received a blow with a late defeat at Manchester United.
Hammers owner David Sullivan is tasked with trying to bring in competition for Michail Antonio with the team’s excellent season suffering a blip before the upcoming international break with consecutive losses.
‘In a perfect world we would get someone but we have been trying for two years to add another striker,’ revealed Moyes.
‘We have put in a few offers for player but couldn’t get them or they were too expensive.
