David Moyes hopes Said Benrahma’s sensational strike against his former club Brentford will prove the magic moment that West Ham needed to get their season back on track.
Substitute Benrahma’s second-half winner from 25 yards handed the Hammers victory over the team that defeated them 2-0 in the Premier League last week.
It was West Ham’s first win in any competition since November 3 and with a trip to fellow strugglers Wolves next in the league, Moyes said: ‘We've got something to build on. Hopefully we can get back on track.
