Danny Ings is in line for his first West Ham start this Saturday, with manager David Moyes hopeful that the experienced striker can save his job.
Insiders say Ings, a £15million signing from Aston Villa in January, has been declared fit enough to start.
Barring any unforeseen setbacks in the week's remaining training sessions the 30-year-old will line up against Nottingham Forest at the London Stadium - a match described as must-win for Moyes.
Ings had been sidelined by a minor knee injury, which is why he has made only four substitute appearances since signing for West Ham last month.
