Former Man United sporting director Dan Ashworth is reportedly being lined up by a Premier League club, three months after leaving Old Trafford.
The 54-year-old was abruptly axed by Man United in December, having been brought to the club from Newcastle United just five months earlier.
Mail Sport revealed that the co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe had become frustrated at what was viewed as Ashworth’s indecision, particularly with regards a definitive plan regarding previous manager Erik ten Hag’s future and the Dutchman’s potential successor.
Ashworth has been working for Warwickshire Cricket Club in recent weeks, advising on performance strategy in a voluntary, unpaid capacity.
