West Ham's move for Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher has not progressed after talks over a potential fee.
The Hammers are looking for midfield reinforcements after Declan Rice decided to join Arsenal earlier this month.
However, Chelsea want at least £45million for Gallagher - who started eight of Chelsea's last nine of the most recent campaign.
Gallagher currently has two years left on his deal at Stamford Bridge, but Chelsea are willing to sell him to fund new signings.
Meanwhile, Southampton are expecting a revised offer from West Ham's for James Ward-Prowse after they offered £25m in structured payments.
