Aston Villa have moved ahead of rivals in pursuit of signing Robert Snodgrass on loan.
West Ham made the winger available for transfer just seven months after paying Hull £10million in the winter window, and Steve Bruce has made an ambitious bid.
Bruce is unable to take Snodgrass to Villa Park on a permanent basis due to Financial Fair Play regulations but the club have proposed an attractive loan arrangement to West Ham.
A number of clubs are tracking Snodgrass, including Sunderland, whose manager Simon Grayson worked with the Scotland international at Leeds United.
