Antonio Conte will stay in Italy after a check up following gallbladder surgery... with Cristian Stellini in charge after the Spurs boss admitted he ignored doctor's orders to return early

Tottenham have confirmed that Antonio Conte will remain at his family home in Italy following a post-operation check after he had gallbladder surgery earlier this month.

Conte had the surgery on February 1 after being in significant pain, and was advised to take a break from the touchline, but he returned to train the Tottenham squad the following week.

However, he is now set to remain away from the team in Italy, with his assistant coach Cristian Stellini taking charge of the side for their home clash with West Ham on Sunday.
