Andy Carroll made his return to first-team action for West Ham on Monday evening as Slaven Bilic's men took on Huddersfield Town at a rainy London Stadium.

The former Newcastle United and Liverpool forward made an immediate impact with a cross-cum-shot in the first minute after chesting the ball down and firing across goal as Cheikhou Kouyate narrowly missed connecting with the ball on a greasy surface.

West Ham weren't afraid to play to the bustling Carroll's strengths as two late goals from Pedro Obiang on 72 minutes followed by Andre Ayew five minutes later made the game safe.
