Liverpool were the only club to vote against the Premier League's 'Enhancing the Broadcast Product' proposals at the shareholders' meeting this week, which were carried by 19 votes to one.
The Anfield club opposed the plans on a point of principle, arguing that it would be wrong to give broadcasters such as Sky Sports and BT Sport additional access given the clubs have already agreed to pay a rebate totalling £330million, while also granting the rights holders extra games.
Other clubs are also unhappy with the rebate and supported Liverpool's argument in private, but did not register a formal protest by voting with them.
