The pressure increased on boss Steve Bruce as his struggling West Bromwich Albion side saw their winless league run stretch to eight games in a frustrating scoreless draw against Luton Town.
Three defeats in four games had left Albion third from bottom in the Championship - their lowest league position in 21 years.
Although they were on top against the Hatters, having more possession and posing a greater goal threat, they struggled to create clear chances and remain in the relegation zone, having won just once in the league so far.
Luton were unable to earn a fourth consecutive away win, but a run of just one defeat in nine sees them remain ninth.
