West Bromwich Albion want Alan Pardew to continue as manager until the end of the season, when the situation will be reassessed.
Pardew's position has been precarious and was placed firmly under scrutiny when the 56-year-old invited the club's hierarchy to sack him should they deem fit after last Saturday's 4-1 defeat to Leicester.
But chief executive Mark Jenkins told Pardew of West Brom's intentions during a formal meeting, as well as issuing instructions to put fight into the remainder of the campaign.

West Brom accept that relegation appears an inevitability but at least want to go down with dignity and believe reaffirming Pardew's status should send a message to disgruntled players.
