West Brom enjoyed an evening of double delight on Wednesday as two separate sides sealed victory over Burton Albion and Walsall.
Manager Tony Pulis took charge of the side making the trip to the Championship side, as Jay Rodriguez headed home the only goal in a tight encounter at the Pirelli Stadium.
The summer acquisition from Southampton rose highest in the 77th minute to meet Matt Phillips' corner and saw Albion claim the Bass Charity Vase as a result.
Pulis oversaw a strong side, which included the likes of Jake Livermore, Jonny Evans and Nacer Chadli in the starting line-up.
