West Brom midfielder Chris Brunt says he would 'probably have spent the night in a cell' if he had caught the fan who threw a coin at him last year.
Brunt was hit in the face by a projectile thrown by one his own supporters after a 3-1 FA Cup fifth-round defeat at Reading.
The Northern Ireland international suffered a cut below his left eye and had to be held back by a steward as he remonstrated with the away fans.
Brunt admits he is grateful for the steward's intervention and can only speculate on what his actions would have been if he would have reached the guilty fan.
