West Bromwich Albion boss Carlos Corberan is upset at losing striker Josh Maja "for months" with a fractured ankle following Saturday's unpunished challenge by Sunderland's Dan Ballard.
The summer signing could be out for up to four months with ankle ligament damage, all but ending his season.
And Corberan, speaking after Tuesday's win at Rotherham, remains unhappy.
"One player is going to be months out and the other player did not face any consequences," he told BBC Radio WM.
"Unfortunately we have received the worst news we could receive. He has broken all the ligaments of the foot, of the ankle.
