West Brom have joined Tottenham in the race for River Plate hotshot Lucas Alario, according to reports in his native Argentina.
The 24-year-old has scored 12 goals in 21 league games so far this term and is attracting interest from across Europe.
Paris Saint-Germain and Lazio are keeping tabs on his progress while Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino is said to hold a long-standing interest in his compatriot.
But now, according to Argentine newspaper Ole, it is West Brom who have edged ahead of the chasing pack.
River Plate are in no hurry to sell the talented 24-year-old but, with his release clause set at a reasonably affordable £15.
