West Brom chief executive Mark Jenkins will fly to China to discuss Alan Pardew's future with owner

West Bromwich Albion chief executive Mark Jenkins will fly to China on Tuesday for a summit with owner Guochuan Lai over the club's future.

Jenkins is expected to field questions over West Brom's current predicament, the position of Alan Pardew, and the strategy in the event of relegation.

West Brom's hierarchy are in the Far East for the annual general meeting of Palm, the landscape design company that sponsors the club, and it is understood Jenkins' attendance has been long-planned.

But the impending threat of dropping into the Championship with West Brom eight points from safety and nine games left is sure to be a hot topic of conversation.
