West Brom boss Alan Pardew remains adamant his side can beat the drop despite facing an injury crisis for Leicester clash: 'I expect my team to have the character to put this right'

Alan Pardew insists West Bromwich Albion have not given up on Premier League survival despite facing an injury crisis for the visit of Leicester.

Jonny Evans is a major doubt for the contest through a virus, while Gareth Barry and Daniel Sturridge are also out with respective knee and hamstring injuries. Nacer Chadli and James Morrison remain long-term absentees.

West Brom are eight points from safety with nine games left but Pardew still believes his side can produce a miraculous recovery and cited how Leicester mounted a great escape in 2014-15 having gained a point less by this stage of the season.
