Alan Pardew expects an FA investigation after allegations of racism were made against Jay Rodriguez during West Brom’s win over Brighton.
Rodriguez was involved in a confrontation with Gaetan Bong just before the hour, prompting the Brighton player to complain to referee Martin Atkinson.
The players had come together during a tussle for the ball and afterwards Rodriguez held his nose when spoken to up close by Bong.
Bong can be seen in television replays telling Atkinson he has been subjected to racism.
