West Brom anxious they will miss out on signing loanee Ahmed Hegazy on permanent basis with Leicester among other Premier League clubs interested

West Brom fear they will miss out on signing loanee Ahmed Hegazy despite having an option to land the defender on a permanent deal.

The Baggies can activate a clause to sign Hegazy on a permanent deal at the end of the season as part of the loan agreement with parent club Al Ahly.

Sportsmail understands the transfer fee is set at €5million which is around £4.4m in the current exchange rate.
