Alan Pardew may be regretting his choice to take charge of West Brom after his side fall further behind in the Premier League fight for survival with defeat by fellow stragglers Southampton.
Pardew's Baggies had got off to the best possible start, however, as Ahmed Hegazi headed in the opener inside four minutes at the Hawthorns and were cruising for the majority of the first half.
Two goals inside three minutes secured an unexpected turnaround for Southampton with the first coming from Mario Lemina's long-range effort into the bottom left corner, before Jack Stephens secured a half time lead for the visitors.
