West Brom continued their resurgence under Carlos Corberan as they beat Preston 2-0 at the Hawthorns on Thursday to move into the top half of the Championship.
The hosts pushed for an opener throughout the first half, and finally found the breakthrough nine minutes before the break when Okay Yokuslu fired past Freddie Woodman.
Yokuslu was in the right place at the right time to double West Brom's lead in the 57th minute, and Preston rarely looked like getting back into the game as the Baggies picked up their seventh win in their last eight matches.
