Neal Maupay’s extra-time winner sent Brighton into the fourth round of the FA Cup as they came from behind to beat 10-man West Brom.
Callum Robinson had put the Championship side in front shortly after half-time, finishing off a sweeping counter-attack with a composed close-range finish.
But two yellow cards in two minutes for West Brom defender Cedric Kipre was the turning point as Brighton grabbed their man advantage and laid siege to the hosts’ goal.
Substitute Jakub Moder levelled the match with nine minutes of normal time remaining, and eight minutes into the additional half-hour, Maupay tucked in from Moder’s cross to complete the turnaround.
