Thomas Tuchel's assistant manager at Bayern Munich has been tipped as a 'leading candidate' for the currently vacant Republic of Ireland job.
Following a dismal Euro 2024 qualifying campaign, Ireland decided to part ways with Stephen Kenny.
Since then, both Steve Bruce and Sam Allardyce have thrown their hats into the ring for the role.
Bruce, who has been unemployed since his sacking from Championship side West Brom in 2022, said he is 'itching' to get back to work following his longest spell out of football.
