West Brom have identified Josh King as a January target in Sam Allardyce's attempts to haul them to safety.
Forward King, 28, has barely featured for Bournemouth this season, falling down the pecking order after making it clear he wanted to leave the Vitality Stadium.
Bournemouth have been open to offers but adamant they would not sell any of their assets on the cheap since their relegation last season and turned down bids for King of £7m from Torino and £13m from West Ham in the summer.
Their firm stance remains unchanged in this window even though it represents the last chance to recoup some money with King now into the final six months of his contract.
