Leicester continued their mini revival under Craig Shakespeare as they came from behind to beat Hull City 3-1 at the King Power.
The Foxes have now recorded back-to-back wins since Claudio Ranieri's departure and it only strengthens Shakespeare's chances of getting the gig on a full-time basis.
The 53-year-old, who was part of Ranieri's title-winning coaching team, is set to meet City chiefs next week and he will have a case to make.
It did not look so simple when Sam Clucas opened the scoring on 14 minutes to net his first goal in the top flight.
