After earning a point with a late equaliser in their previous fixture at Stoke, the shoe was on the other foot for West Brom as they threw away a one-goal lead in the final 10 minutes to draw 1-1 with Sunderland. Ironically, it was a far better performance than the one that earned a point at Stoke, with West Brom having 17 shots with seven hitting the target and wasting several more opportunities with a poor final pass.

Nacer Chadli was once again a stand-out performer, finishing well for his goal after a superb first touch and creating a few more chances that West Brom failed to take advantage of.
