Former Birmingham City, West Brom and Aston Villa defender Liam Ridgewell has been charged with a drunk driving offence.
The current Portland Timbers centre-back and his team-mate Jake Gleeson were arrested late on Monday night after driving under the influence of intoxicants (DUII), according to the MLS club's website.
The 32-year-old Ridgewell was booked along with Gleeson into Clackamas County jail, with the Timbers captain and the goalkeeper posting a $7,500 bail (£6,175) for their charges.
Ridgewell will join his team-mate Gleeson in attending Lake Oswego municipal court on November 16, with the latter having crashed his BMW into the back of a friend's SUV.
