Leeds United will sharpen their focus on a new manager this week and want a candidate who has Premier League and Championship experience.
Ideally, following their relegation from the Premier League, Leeds would prefer an appointment that did not require compensation.
That would appear to rule out former coach Carlos Corberan.
The West Bromwich Albion manager is well-known at Leeds from his time as a coach working alongside Marcelo Bielsa.
He has a release clause understood to be around £2m and has yet to manage in the top flight.
