Awarding the 2024 Champions League final to Wembley is 'shameful' and 'sends the wrong message' as violence continues to grip British football, claims Ian Ladyman.
Speaking a day after violence marred the Black Country Derby between West Bromwich Albion and Wolverhampton Wanderers in the FA Cup, which saw play suspended for 35 minutes as fans clashed and players went to rescue family members, Ladyman switched the focus to Wembley.
The home of English football was embarrassed in 2021 when thousands of ticketless fans attempted to storm the stadium to gain entry to the Euro 2020 final between England and Italy.
