Gary Megson admitted that taking temporary charge of West Bromwich Albion has whetted his appetite for management again — but he is in the dark over who will be handed the job full-time.
Megson had all but given up on trying to become a football manager two-and-a-half years ago after finding his opportunities limited. Between 1995 and 2012 the 58-year-old was in charge of nine clubs, including four of those at West Brom.
But following the build-up and standing on the Wembley touchline for West Brom’ s draw against Tottenham has reinvigorated his desire for a No 1 role, having been assistant to Tony Pulis until he was sacked on Monday.
