Everton 1-1 West Brom: Oumar Niasse comes off bench to rescue point for Toffees as James McCarthy sufferes horrendous injury at Goodison Park

Everton and West Brom shared the spoils in a game marred by a terrible suspected leg break for James McCarthy.

Jay Rodriguez opened the scoring as he took advantage of some weak defending to slot in the first goal of the game. James McCarthy suffered a horrendous looking injury and had to be stretched off after Salomon Rondon inadvertently connected with the back of his leg.

Oumar Niasse then scored the equaliser after coming on for Cenk Tosun, volleying in from a Wayne Rooney cross nodded across the box by Theo Walcott.
