West Bromwich Albion have made their second summer signing by bringing in Norwegian defender Torbjørn Heggem from Swedish top-flight outfit Brommapojkarna on a three-year deal.
Albion have paid an undisclosed fee for the 25-year-old Norwegian, who follows the arrival of Mali midfielder Ousmane Diakite.
“Torbjorn has the versatility to play in any of the positions across the defensive line," Baggies head coach Carlos Corberan said.
"He is a player capable of taking responsibility, playing out from the back and managing the ball well with both feet."
“English football has always been the biggest thing in Norway," Heggem added.
