Carlos Corberan's rumoured impending exit from West Bromwich Albion would be a massive blow to the Championship club, according to ex-midfielder Darren Carter.
Reports in Spain, external suggest the La Liga club have activated Corberan's £2.8m release clause with the announcement of his appointment apparently imminent.
The former Champions League finalists are second bottom of the Spanish top flight, four points from safety, and Corberan, 41, hails from the Valencia region.
"I've been a big fan of Carlos Corberan and he's done fantastically well with that [Albion] squad last year," Carter told BBC Radio WM.
