"It was like someone had dumped 500 tonnes of rock on the ground and expected us to scramble over it," said Blind Dave.
Blind Dave crossed the line on Wednesday afternoon with son-in-law Rich Maddocks and guide Jonathan Ward, from The Albion Foundation.
The team was also joined by Tony Ellis, second left, and Dave Heeley's daughter Grace.
