Albion Under-23s were unlucky not to beat AFC Bournemouth Under-23s in Premier League Cup G, drawing 1-1 in a hard-fought battle at Keys Park.
The result means Albion's fate in the competition will be decided in their last group game against Burnley - with both teams having six points in the group so far.
Jaidon Anthony put the Cherries ahead, but Finn Azaz levelled for the Baggies, who were unlucky not to secure all three points after an onslaught of late pressure.
Albion went close early on, as Sam Wilding won possession in a promising position and played a pass to Jamie Soule, who poked goalwards, but Mark Travers made a good low save to keep out the Baggies.
