Albion join Acorns Hospice fundraising drive

Albion paid a Christmas visit to nearby Acorns Hospice to add the Club’s weight to the fundraising drive launched to save the service.

Darnell Furlong, Kieran Gibbs, Kyle Bartley and Romaine Sawyers took a break from training to bring some festive cheer to families, staff and volunteers and show their support for an urgent appeal to safeguard the future of the Walsall-based hospice.

The teammates joined surprise guest Father Christmas to hand out presents to children and siblings before being taken on a tour of the hospice’s specialist facilities.

Albion are providing a range of fund-raising opportunities for the hospice, which is situated just a short drive from the Club’s training ground, as well as a benefit sporting dinner in 2020 with all proceeds going to the charity.
