Watford defender Younes Kaboul could make his debut in the EFL Cup tie against Gillingham following his switch from Sunderland.
Another new signing, Roberto Pereyra, is awaiting a work permit. Isaac Success (hamstring) could feature but Ben Watson is still suspended.
Gills midfielder Bradley Dack should be available after making the bench on Saturday after a knee injury.
Scott Wagstaff could also return from a calf injury.
