Watford captain Troy Deeney worked on some different striking techniques as he took part in a pads session with former British welterweight champion Frankie Gavin on Tuesday.
Deeney, who is also close friends with IBF world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua, shared an Instagram picture of the pair together in the ring with the caption: 'Massive thanks to @frankiegavin for the 1 on 1 session in the gym proper good work out cheers mate.'
Gavin, who challenged for the IBF welterweight title last year, replied saying: '@anthony_joshua wants to watch out ha'.
Deeney was part of the Hornets side that beat Premier League champions Leicester 2-1 at the weekend, although he remains stuck on 99 goals in all competitions for the club after failing to score since October 1.
