Watford staff and players were left furious after the club deducted money from their wages without consent as a contribution to food at the training ground.
Employees were left astonished last month when they found their monthly wages had been reduced by as much as £300 because the club felt they should be financially contributing to the food they eat at the club’s London Colney HQ.
Players and staff were not told about the impending deductions to their wages and have been left fuming.
‘We wouldn’t mind as much if the food was nice, but it’s miles off,’ said one source.
