Watford have signed Le Havre defensive midfielder Pape Gueye on a pre-contract agreement.
The Frenchman's deal with the Ligue 2 outfit expires in June, meaning he has been able to negotiate with other clubs since January.
The 21-year-old appears to have played his last game for the French side with the country's Prime Minister Edouard Philippe announcing on Tuesday there will be no sporting events in the country until September 1.
Gueye has been a standout player in the second division of French football this season, leading him to be handed the captain's despite his young age.
