Watford will listen to offers for Troy Deeney this month and want to replace him with Bournemouth striker Benik Afobe.

The striker has played regularly for Marco Silva this season, but his future is in doubt with the Hornets manager keen on freshening up his forward line.

Deeney is club captain and been one of Watford’s key players in recent years. But he has scored just twice so far this season and Silva is now prepared to part with the fans favourite, though Watford will demand in the region of £20million.

Newcastle have a concrete interest in Deeney, but the transfer fee and his £70,000-per-week wage could prove prohibitive.
